Suno pricing: what each of the three tiers actually buys

Three tiers, one of which is free and lets you take nothing away. What each one actually buys.

What the ten dollars actually buys

Two things the free tier withholds: the file, and the right to use it for anything commercial. Everything else about the product is the same on both tiers, which is an unusually honest way to build a free tier. You can form a complete opinion before paying, and you cannot leave with a song. What the free tier gives and keeps goes through it in detail.

Premier at thirty dollars adds credits and nothing to the licence. It is a volume tier, so it is worth it if you are generating every day and pointless if you are making a birthday song. Udio charges the same ten dollars as Pro and does not offer a higher tier at all.

How that compares

Suno sits in the middle of that table and, unlike the bottom two rows, its advertised price is the price of the thing you need. That is worth more than two dollars of difference, and it is why Suno loses no value points for a hidden tier while Mubert and Boomy do. The full scoring is on how I test.

When ten dollars a month is the wrong purchase

If you are making one song, for one person, for a date in the calendar, a monthly subscription is the wrong shape of payment and the generator is the wrong shape of tool. The evening you spend on it costs more than the ten dollars, and the part that has to be personal is the lyrics, which is exactly what prompting is worst at. Past the third song the arithmetic flips and the subscription wins. The three routes compared has the numbers.

What a price change would look like here

Every price on this site is read off the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown at the top of the article, and never repeated from press coverage. When one moves, the score moves with it if the change affects value, and the date changes. That is the entire policy, and it is the reason this page carries a checked date rather than a year.

Questions people ask

How much does Suno cost?

Ten dollars a month on the Pro tier, eight on an annual plan, and thirty for Premier, twenty-four annually. There is a free tier at fifty credits a day with no download and no commercial use.

Is Suno cheaper than Udio?

No, they are identical: ten dollars a month, eight annually. Suno has a higher Premier tier that Udio does not need. ElevenLabs Music is cheaper than both at six dollars.

Does the Suno subscription include commercial rights?

From the Pro tier, yes. The free tier is private use only and does not let you download the finished file at all.
